Foundation Diploma in Multidisciplinary Creative Practice

Business & Entrepreneurship

Explore business ideas. Build entrepreneurial confidence. Prepare for Creative undergraduate study.

Every successful Creative idea needs more than talent. It needs direction, audience understanding, business thinking, communication, confidence and the ability to turn ideas into meaningful opportunities.

The Foundation Diploma in Multidisciplinary Creative Practice: Business & Entrepreneurship is an 8-month Creative foundation programme for students who want to explore business, innovation, branding, entrepreneurship and Creative enterprise before progressing into undergraduate-level study.

This specialization is ideal for students who are interested in starting a business, building Creative brands, developing new ideas, understanding audiences, or exploring how creativity and entrepreneurship can work together.

Students begin with broad Creative exploration and gradually move towards a specialist portfolio direction in Business & Entrepreneurship, developing the confidence, skills and Creative thinking needed for their next step.

A key advantage of the Foundation Diploma route is that students have the opportunity to earn two qualifications through a single programme. Upon successful completion and meeting the relevant requirements, students may receive both the AMDT Foundation Diploma in Multidisciplinary Creative Practice: Business & Entrepreneurship and the Pearson BTEC Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Art, Design and Media Practice.

A foundation pathway
for future Creative entrepreneurs

Business today is no longer only about numbers, management or sales. Successful businesses need creativity, innovation, storytelling, brand thinking, audience understanding, digital awareness and the ability to turn ideas into action.

The Business & Entrepreneurship specialization helps students explore how Creative ideas can become products, services, brands, campaigns, communities or startup concepts.

Students are introduced to Creative business thinking in a practical and accessible way. They explore how ideas are developed, how audiences are understood, how brands are shaped, and how entrepreneurial thinking can be used to solve problems and create value.

This is a foundation route for students who may want to progress into business innovation, Creative entrepreneurship, branding, marketing, digital business, Creative management, or related undergraduate-level pathways.

Students also benefit from a dual-award opportunity. Rather than completing separate programmes, students can work towards both an AMDT qualification and a Pearson BTEC qualification through the same course, strengthening their academic profile and future progression opportunities.
