Year 0 in Multidisciplinary Creative Practice
Build your Creative foundation. Explore your direction. Prepare for AMDT Year 1.
Not every Creative journey begins with direct entry into undergraduate-level study. Some students need time
to explore, build confidence, develop a portfolio and understand which Creative direction is right for them.
The Year 0 in Multidisciplinary Creative Practice is an 8-month bridging programme designed for students
who want to prepare for progression into AMDT undergraduate-level Creative study.
Students follow the same curriculum and attend the same classes as students in the AMDT Foundation Diploma
in Multidisciplinary Creative Practice. The difference is that Year 0 has a lower course fee and does not lead to
an AMDT qualification, certification or Pearson BTEC qualification upon completion.
The bridging route into Creative undergraduate study
The Year 0 in Multidisciplinary Creative Practice gives students the time, structure and support to explore Creative education before entering undergraduate-level study at AMDT.
It is especially suitable for students who do not yet meet the direct entry requirements for Year 1, or for students who are unsure which Creative direction they want to follow.
Students begin with broad Creative exploration and gradually move towards a clearer specialist direction. They develop Creative confidence, practical skills, research ability, digital awareness, portfolio work and a stronger understanding of possible Creative futures.
Year 0 is ideal for students who want the same learning experience as the Foundation Diploma, but prefer a lower-fee route without receiving a formal qualification or certification.
