The Founders Scholarship is AMDT School of Creativity’s highest honour—created to support students who embody the spirit, passion, and courage that inspired the birth of AMDT. This scholarship is awarded to exceptional individuals who demonstrate not only talent, but the drive to change the world through Creativity. It is more than financial support. It is a recognition of potential, leadership, and the belief that great Creativity can come from anywhere.
Start your journey as a multidisciplinary Creative with funding of up to LKR 550,000. Created in honour of a legacy that believed in every Creative mind, this scholarship is designed for those ready to push further, think bigger, and build a future where Creativity meets technology and business. If you have the passion, the story, and the drive this is yours to take.
Eligibility
You may apply if you are:

A new student enrolling in any BTEC Higher National Diploma or Advanced Diploma programme.

A Sri Lankan or international student

Able to present strong Creative work OR a track record of Creative leadership

Passionate about building a long-term Creative career
How to Apply
Follow these steps to apply and we will let you know if you have been successful.
1. Prepare Your Work
Show your strongest work, animation, design, photography, film, fashion, writing, illustration, or mixed media
2. Submit a Video Statement
Tell us who you are, your Creative journey, and why you deserve the Founder’s Scholarship.
Your video should:
– Be a minimum of 2 minutes in length
– Clearly communicate your story, passion, and future goals
– Explain why you should be selected
3. Submit Your Application
Use our online scholarship form and attach your documents.
4. Interview & Review
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a portfolio review or Creative conversation with AMDT’s leadership team.

Terms and Conditions
1. Eligibility Criteria
– The Founder’s Scholarship 2026 is open to applicants enrolling in AMDT School of Creativity programmes, including BTEC HND and Advanced Diploma pathways.
– Applicants must demonstrate strong Creative potential, passion, and the ability to grow as a multidisciplinary Creative.
2. Application Process
Applicants must complete the official scholarship application form provided by AMDT.
Applications must include:
– Portfolio of Creative work (if available – otherwise any artworks, designs, or Creative projects)
– A personal statement/story explaining why the scholarship should be awarded to you
– Any additional documents requested by AMDT
– All applications must be submitted before the stated deadline.
3. Selection Criteria
Applicants will be evaluated based on:
– Creativity, originality, and quality of work
– Strength of personal story and ambition
– Potential to grow as a multidisciplinary Creative
A panel comprising industry professionals and AMDT academic leadership will review all applications.
Final selections will be made at the discretion of AMDT School of Creativity.
4. Scholarship Value & Disbursement
Selected applicants may receive funding of up to LKR 550,000.
The scholarship amount will:
– Be directly deducted from the course fee
– Not be issued as cash
– Require standard payment of initial instalments; the scholarship value will be applied toward the final instalments of the course fee
The final awarded amount may vary based on the evaluation process.
5. Rights & Usage of Submissions
– All submitted work remains the property of the applicant.
– By applying, applicants grant AMDT the right to use submitted materials for promotional and academic purposes related to the scholarship.
– Submissions must be original work created by the applicant. AI-generated or heavily AI-assisted work will not be considered.
6. Notification of Recipients
– Selected applicants will be notified via email and/or phone.
– AMDT reserves the right to publicly announce recipients across its official platforms.
7. Acceptance & Confirmation
Recipients must confirm acceptance of the scholarship within the timeframe stated in the notification.
8. Publicity & Promotion
Recipients may be required to participate in promotional activities, interviews, or events related to the scholarship.
9. Scholarship Applicability
The scholarship is applicable only for the 2026 intake and cannot be transferred to future intakes.
10. Termination of Scholarship
AMDT reserves the right to revoke the scholarship if recipients:
– Fail to maintain satisfactory academic progress
– Violate institutional rules and regulations
11. Privacy & Data Usage
All personal information will be used solely for the scholarship application and selection process.
12. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
