This guide outlines the different entry pathways for our Year 0, Foundation Diplomas, Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas, and BA (Hons) Top-Up Degrees, helping you choose the best route toward your dream creative career.
Degree Courses
BA (Hons) – Final Year Top-Up
Our Final Year Top-Up programme is designed for passionate creators ready to transform their experience and qualifications into a globally recognized BA (Hons) degree. Whether you’re an advanced diploma graduate or an industry professional, this is your chance to gain the academic edge and creative polish that sets you apart.
To join, you must meet one of the following:
- You’ve successfully completed a relevant Advanced Diploma, Higher National Diploma (HND), or an equivalent 240-credit qualification in a creative field relevant to the course you’re applying to, and with a portfolio of creative work to showcase of your skills, passion, and potential for assessment to ensure you’re ready for this advanced level of study.
- Industry professionals with substantial experience in creative disciplines who wish to advance their academic qualifications and a portfolio of creative work, which will be evaluated to determine readiness for entry into the programme.
Diplomas & Advanced Diplomas
Whether you’re just finishing school, building on a foundation qualification, or bringing years of creative industry experience, our Diploma and Advanced Diploma programmes give you the perfect pathway to transform your passion into a career.
To join, you must meet one of the following:
- Successful completion of GCE A/Ls (Local or London) or an equivalent qualification.
- Completion of the AMDT Year 0 or Foundation Diploma qualification.
- Completion of a recognized Foundation Diploma or Level 3 qualification in any field.
- Professionals with at least one year full-time work experience but without formal academic qualifications may be considered for special conditional entry. Applicants will need to submit a portfolio of creative work to demonstrate their readiness for the programme.
Year 0 & Foundation Diplomas
This could be your perfect starting point for your creative journey. If you’re dreaming of a future in design, media, or the arts but need the right academic bridge to get there, our Year 0 and Foundation Diploma programmes are built for you. These pathways prepare you with the creative skills, confidence, and portfolio you need to progress into a undergraduate programme.
To join, you must meet one of the following:
- Successful completion of GCE O/Ls (Local or London) or an equivalent international qualification.
- Completion of a recognized Level 2 or equivalent qualification in any field.
- Applicants without formal O/Ls or equivalent qualifications may still be considered for entry based on an individual application review, which may include an interview and/or portfolio assessment.
Our Foundation programmes are designed for students who want to step into creative higher education, even if they don’t meet traditional entry requirements.
Short Courses
To join, you must meet one of the following:
- No Formal Qualifications Required.
- Open to anyone of all ages. Certain short courses may have specific minimum age requirements.
- No Minimum Skill Level Required. Certain specialized or advanced courses may specify prior knowledge or portfolio requirements.
