First Stitch is a 2 to 3-month short course designed to teach you the fundamentals of pattern making and sewing; the very foundation of garment construction. In this course, you’ll learn how to translate ideas into patterns, cut and assemble fabrics, and craft garments from scratch. Starting with the basics, you’ll gain practical skills in measurement techniques, pattern drafting, fabric selection, and sewing essentials. Through guided workshops, you’ll practice stitching and garment construction using industry-standard tools and techniques. By the end of the course, you’ll walk away with your own handmade pieces and the ability to bring your design ideas to life.
