AMDT School of Creativity Mickey & Minnie Competition for Creative Scholarships

Did you know that Mickey & Minnie Mouse, the iconic Steamboat Willie characters, are now in the public domain?

This is the chance for all Creative dreamers to dive into your imagination and share your own unique stories or artwork based on these beloved characters with us and win a scholarship worth Rs.100,000 to kickstart your Creative dreams!

Terms and Conditions
1. Selection Criteria
  • The competition is open to individuals from the age of 15 and above.
  • Employees of AMDT School of Creativity and the students are not eligible to participate.
  • Participants must adhere to the rules and guidelines outlined in the competition announcement.
  • Participants can use only the classic ‘Steamboat Willie’ version when incorporating the characters.
  • Content should not imply any sponsorship or endorsement by Disney.
  • A total of 2 students will be chosen to receive this scholarship.
  • Artwork/short stories will be judged based on Creativity, originality, adherence to the theme, and overall artistic expression.
  • A judging panel comprising qualified Creative professionals and the Management of AMDT School of Creativity will review the artwork/short stories and select the scholarship recipients.
  • AMDT School of Creativity reserves the authority to select candidates at its discretion and under the established selection criteria.
2. Submission Process
  • Artwork: Participants are required to share their artwork on their public Instagram profiles, mentioning @amdtlk, and including the hashtag #AMDTCreativeScholarships. If your account is set to private, kindly send us a direct message with a screenshot of your posted artwork.
  • Short Stories: Stories should be sent via direct message on Instagram to @amdtlk or through Facebook to AMDT School of Creativity.
3. Intellectual Property
  • Any content found to infringe on the intellectual property rights of others will be disqualified.
4. Scholarship Amount and Disbursement
  • The scholarship amount totals up to LKR. 100,000 per student.
  • The scholarship funds will not be disbursed directly to the student; instead, they will be transferred and directly deducted from the course fee of the suitable Creative programme.
  • The selected students will adhere to the standard payment plan, with the scholarship amount being applied as a deduction from the final instalments, equivalent to the scholarship value.
5. Rights and Usage of Submissions
  • All submitted character designs remain the property of the respective participants.
  • By participating, participants grant AMDT School of Creativity the right to use their submitted Character Designs for promotional purposes related to the scholarship.
6. Notification of Winners
  • Scholarship recipients will be notified via Instagram or Facebook on or before 31st January 2024.
  • The names of the scholarship recipients may be publicly announced by AMDT School of Creativity on the official social media pages and website.
7. Acceptance and Confirmation
  • Scholarship recipients must confirm their acceptance of the scholarship within 2 weeks after receiving the notification.
8. Publicity and Promotion
  • Scholarship recipients may be required to participate in promotional activities, interviews, or events related to the scholarship or AMDT School of Creativity.
9. Scholarship Duration
  • The scholarship is exclusively applicable to the May 2024 intake at AMDT School of Creativity and cannot be transferred to any other intake.
10. Termination of Scholarship
  • The scholarship shall be terminated if recipients fail to maintain satisfactory academic progress or violate any policies, including general student rules and regulations at AMDT School of Creativity.
11. Terms & Conditions Changes
  • AMDT School of Creativity reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the competition and its terms at any time without prior notice.
12. Governing Law
  • These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Sri Lanka.
By participating for the AMDT School of Creativity Mickey & Minnie Competition for Creative Scholarships, participants acknowledge their understanding and acceptance of these terms and conditions.
