The AMDT Photography and Filmmaking competition for 2018 is open to everyone.

The Filmmaking category is an ‘Open Themed’ competition and the theme for the Photography competition is ‘Sri Lanka’.

Applicants are required to ‘Upload’ their images/films onto any ‘Cloud-Storage’ platform (‘Google Drive’, ‘Dropbox’)of their choice and are required to share the link in the ‘registration’ form below.

Submissions close on 22nd June 2018, at 12 am.

Photography competition rules & guidelines

Rules and Guidelines

– The theme for the Photography competition is “SRI LANKA”.

 

– Images will be judged on originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact and artistic merit as well as the personal vision on the theme of “SRI LANKA” that the photographer conveys.

 

– Images must be uploaded in JPEG format with high-quality compression.

 

– For any image, a minimum of 2000 pixels is required per dimension (Example: 2000px X 2000px, 2000px X 3500px).

 

– A maximum of two images can be submitted per applicant

 

– Mobile phone images are also accepted, and images could also be in Black & White.

 

– The final decision of the Judging Panel will be stood by.

Filmmaking competition rules & guidelines

Rules and Guidelines

– The total runtime of the Short Film, including opening & closing credits, should strictly be within a minimum of 1 minutes and a maximum of 10 minutes.

 

– If the film is not in English, then it must have hardcoded English subtitles

 

– Only films completed on or after 1st January 2017 are eligible for entry into the competition

 

– If music or additional film material used in your film is not your own, then permission from the source must be obtained. The responsibility for this rests entirely with the filmmaker. Failure to obtain clearance could result in your film being withdrawn from the contest.

 

– The films may be in any format, but of high quality.

 

– Multiple entries from the same participant are accepted.

 

– The final decision of the Judging Panel will be stood by.

 

– Competition Organizers reserve the right to change/ modify/alter any rule of this competition anytime.
